Delphinium 'Highlander Moon Light'

$16.00
Sold Out

(Delphinium hybrid) 4 inch pot

LIMITED SUPPLY! We are so excited to offer this absolutely gorgeous Delphinium to you this year! The Highlander Series is the result of the passion project from a dedicated Scottish couple who fell in love with Delphiniums. Over time they bred a wide range of double Delphiniums and now they are available to the world through the magic of tissue culture.

‘Moon Light’ is a pale lilac with pale blue border and green center with incredibly strong stems. We cannot wait to see her bloom.

The first flower may be a bit weak, so some growers cut it out as soon as it appears and wait for stronger side shoots. Just like Guardian and the other seed grown strains, your clumps of Delphinium will get bigger each season. You may choose to thin your plants to just 2-3 stems per flush to get better quality flowers. Cut to the ground at each harvest and they will rebloom.

Now that we are looking at nothing but soil, some straggly bits of irrigation and the longest to-do list ever, we like to head back to the archives. Our mid-summer garden enjoying some heavy moisture in the air.
Lycoris radiata or Red Spider Lily. Wow honestly, can you even believe this exists? Truly a beautiful species. We planted these in the fall of 2022 hoping for a 2023 bloom. They notoriously skip their first and sometimes second year bloom time in th

Here is Celosia 'Bar Bossa Champagne' looking absolutely divine. We don't pinch our first flush, letting the crested fans get as big and wavy as possible. Then we cut the side shoots all summer long.

I met Beth Mullins of GROWSGREEN Landscape Design during my time at The Ruth Bancroft Garden. We would talk about stately Agaves and soft Acacias and all things Protea. When I found out she was also a ceramic artist, we immediately started scheming
